About
Masters Games of Alabama is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles for active adults age 50 and over through social, mental, and physical activities.  They were developed in Oxford, AL in 1990 to provide adults age 50 and above an opportunity to maintain an active lifestyle by participating in a variety of events.  While the games provide an Olympic-type atmosphere, the focus is not on competition, but fun and fellowship.  Each year there are between 600 and 800 participants from across the state.

How To Donate                                                                                                         Back to Top

District Masters Games run on a much smaller budget than the State Games, but these games would not be possible without the time and money volunteered by numerous individuals and companies.  If you are interested in donating time, money, or supplies, please call or email Emily McCamy.  Click on one of the districts below to see some of our most recent sponsors.

State Masters Games are very expensive to run.  Registration fees collected from participants do not even cover a fraction of the costs.  Without the generous donations and sponsorships provided, it would be impossible for these games to continue.  Throughout the years, individuals and companies have donated time, money, and supplies to help the games run as smoothly as possible.  If you are interested in donating your time or money, please contact Cindy Roberts by email or phone (256-389-0534).  No amount is too small or too large!  We accept monetary and in-kind donations.  Below is a list of our 2011 Sponsorship Levels.
     $10,000 - Platinum Level
     $  5,000 - Gold Level
     $  2,500 - Silver Level
     $  1,000 - Bronze Level
     $     500 - Master Level
     $     100 - Friends of the Games

Award Winners                                                                                                          Back to Top

Each year, people are selected from each district to receive an award at our State Masters Games Banquet.  There are 3 types of awards: Golden Alumni, All Star, and the President's Award.  The President's Award is awarded to candidates that have made an impact on Master Games.  The other two awards focus on the impact that Masters Games has made on the winner.  The Golden Alumni Award is awarded to a participant that has participated in Masters Games and will no longer be able to participate.  The All Star Award is awarded to a participant that is still active in Masters Games.  Below is a list of some of our District 4 and District 6 State Games award winners.  If you want to view the winners from all State Districts, click here
